THE CERTIFICATION OF FIELD INTERVIEWERS AND RECRUITMENT PERSONNEL.
Taking the first step on regulation, NiMRA has concluded plans to organize a workshop that will lead to the certification of field interviewers and recruitment officers across the country. The exercise would enable all experienced interviewers get accreditation with a view to building credible and virile professional field operations in field agencies on the one hand, and field operations departments in research companies on the other.
The certification indulgence would include professionalizing “free-lance fieldwork”; thereby empowering agencies to work with only accredited freelancers rather than just anybody who claims an experience that may not be immediately verifiable. This way, NiMRA may be able to monitor questionable “field professionals” across the Industry and the country at large.
The potency of this exercise is not in doubt as NiMRA’s major stakeholders have given full support to the exercise which will be conducted in phases in the six geo-political zones of the Federation. A pilot has already taken place in Lagos.
